My verdict
Yet again Alexandra Sokoloff has written a great crime thriller. Blood Moon flows at a fast pace with plenty of action to keep the story moving. The plot is cleverly planned and executed and grabbed my attention all the way through.
I've become a big fan of Matthew Roarke and his FBI team, who work well together and clearly have much admiration for one another. In this book, Roarke is determined to reel Cara in to account for her crimes. But his growing attraction to this female serial killer with a conscience could be getting in the way of his job. And there's a growing concern that his own life is in danger as he tries to lure Cara out of hiding.
The characters are complex and the story is compelling, and I found it very hard to put the book down. In fact, I was quite exhausted by the end of it, having held my breath through the last few chapters.
Blood Moon follows straight on from the previous book Huntress Moon, so I would suggest that you read this series in order.
