5. Household electrical appliances
Seriously, it’s never ok to buy someone an iron for
Christmas, even if they really want one. Don’t be too surprised when they channel
Little Mo in Eastenders and smack you in the face with it.
4. Out-of-date chocolate
We know you bought it in the January sales, and no we don’t
think that flaky white stuff around the edge is put there on purpose to look
like snow.
3. Bath salts
They smell funny, they’re gritty, they don’t dissolve
properly, and honestly, how old do you think I am? Also, they are really
difficult to use when you don’t have a bath.
2. Fitness DVD
What exactly are you trying to say, pal?
1. A “re-gift” to the person who gave it to you last year
Um . . . OOPS?! I totally understand you didn’t really want
that ceramic lizard-shaped tea caddy but you really should’ve just thrown that
thing out with the wrapping.
Avoid these disasters and play it safe with a gift of books. Or novelty socks. Because everyone loves novelty socks.
